All positions pay $22.50/hr. Schedules cannot be altered. If you cannot work the entire schedule, we cannot consider you for the position.

Ketch Road Group Home

Location: Morristown, NJ
Schedule:

Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Mount Olive Group Home

Location: Budd Lake, NJ
Schedule:

Tuesday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Roxbury Respite Group Home

Location: Succasunna, NJ
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

This is a respite group home. When there are no individuals staying at the home, the Assistant Residential Manager may provide support at other ArcMorris group homes throughout Morris County as needed.

Position Overview

The Assistant Residential Manager plays an important leadership role in supporting the daily operations of a residential group home program. This position works closely with the Residential Manager to ensure high-quality care, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment for residents.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized, and able to lead by example while supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and maximizing independence.

This position combines direct support responsibilities with administrative and supervisory duties and requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Resident Support

Provide person-centered support to residents in daily living activities and community participation.
Promote resident independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
Teach and reinforce independent living skills, communication skills, and social development.
Support residents in achieving goals outlined in their Individualized Habilitation Plans (IHPs).
Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of IHP goals and services.
Ensure behavioral support plans and clinical recommendations are followed consistently and appropriately.
Conduct resident meetings and address concerns, requests, and follow-up needs.

Staff Leadership & Supervision

Support the supervision, training, and mentoring of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Model high-quality direct care and professional interactions with residents and staff.
Assist with staff scheduling and arrange coverage for open shifts using approved staffing resources.
Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure program coverage and compliance.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and positive morale within the home.

Medical & Administrative Coordination

Coordinate and monitor medical, dental, behavioral health, and specialty appointments for residents.
Ensure follow-up care, documentation, and communication with families and interdisciplinary teams.
Administer and document medications in compliance with agency and DDD regulations.
Maintain accurate consumer records, program files, medication documentation, and incident reporting.
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.

Home & Community Operations

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming home environment.
Ensure household maintenance, safety inspections, and vehicle maintenance are completed and documented.
Support the development of monthly activity calendars that include recreational, educational, social, and community-based activities.
Provide transportation for residents to appointments, activities, and community outings.
Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with ArcMorris policies, DDD regulations, licensing standards, and best practices.
Cooperate with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or investigations.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times.
Assist with ensuring the program meets health, safety, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of DDD regulations, licensing standards, and behavioral support plans preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, patient, professional, and dependable.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
Ability to complete required trainings and medication certification.

Physical Requirements

Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily living tasks as needed.
Ability to safely operate agency vehicles.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Ability to respond appropriately in emergency or crisis situations.
