Full Job Description

SUMMARY

The Machine Shop Programmer programs and operates machines to cut parts to customer specifications, performs quality control, and troubleshoots programming issues. Reports to the Machine Shop Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Works with team of machine operators, welders, engineers and other Machine Shop staff
Performs First Article Inspections and quality control
Ensures that machined parts meet customer specifications, drawings and STP files
Provides mentorship to junior team members
Maintains equipment, shop cleanliness, and tooling inventory

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School Diploma
2+ years of manual machining experience, CMM operation
Demonstrated ability to effectively operate shop related tools and equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, drawings and/or technical diagrams – easily hold +/-.003” tolerance
Use of CAD platforms for tooling design
Strong communication skills
