Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our manufacturing operations team as an Operator - Chemical Plant! In this role, you will be hands on in our production process, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. in the blend and manufacture of paints and adhesives. Attention to detail a must, ability to perform basic math, and must be able to read and write in the english language.

Duties

Operate, monitor, control, and record batches, including feeds, temperatures, and pressures.
Sample, test, and record product results to ensure consistent quality.
Conduct all activities in compliance with plant safety/environmental/quality standards.
Weigh out and add raw materials accurately based on batch instructions.
Load finished product bulk tankers, totes and drums.
Assist with preparations for maintenance activities.
Practice good area housekeeping.
Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
May be asked to perform other tasks as needed to meet production goals.

Requirements

High school diploma
Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in English (verbal and written)
Basic math skills including the ability to compute decimals and percentages
Ability to operate forklifts
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime
Ability to work in a team environment
Basic computer skills (data entry, email, Microsoft Office)

Preferred

Proven experience working in a chemical plant
Proven experience making Latex based materials
Technical school education
