Operations Manager
About The Organization
Community Caregivers of Greater Derry (CCGD) is a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homebound individuals through a compassionate, volunteer-driven network. Our exceptional team of volunteers empowers clients across Chester, Danville, Derry, Londonderry, Hampstead, Sandown, and Windham to maintain their independence and quality of life within their own homes and communities. Services are provided free of charge and include transportation to medical appointments, light chores, friendly visits, respite care, grocery shopping, home repairs, yard work, and telephone reassurance.
Founded in 1988 by visionary community members, CCGD was established to address the need for affordable and accessible volunteer services that were previously unavailable in the area. Today, the program boasts 440 dedicated volunteers who serve 350 clients. Additionally, CCGD operates the Loaner’s Closet for Durable Medical Equipment, launched in 2002, which offers free medical equipment loans to the public and accepts donations of gently used items.
