Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team. As our Purchasing Agent, you’ll be the bridge between our production floor and the global supply chain. Your expertise will ensure that our costs stay competitive and our quality remains uncompromised. From negotiating with suppliers to anticipating production needs, you’ll directly influence our ability to deliver on time, every time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Source and procure raw materials, components, and equipment essential to our manufacturing operations.

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings without sacrificing quality.

· Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier contracts, and inventory data in our ERP system (e.g., Jobboss, or similar).

· Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to forecast material needs and prevent supply disruptions.

· Evaluate supplier performance using metrics like on-time delivery, defect rates, and responsiveness.

· Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify our supply chain and reduce risk.

· Resolve any supply issues quickly to keep production schedules on track.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term supplier relationships.

· Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

· A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.

Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
