Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PM & R - MSK (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Musculoskeletal) Doctor WITH OR WITHOUT PAIN MEDICINE SUBSPECIALITY BOARD CERTIFICATION to join our team PT or FT. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, clinical evaluation, and USG guided and other office based interventional procedures. This role involves providing exceptional patient care through diagnosis, treatment planning, and coordination of rehabilitation services, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for our diverse patient population in Manhattan and our other locations in the city. www.nyspineandsport.com; www.vitalitymedny.com

Duties

Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools including medical imaging and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating physical examinations, pain management techniques, and interventional USD GUIDED AND radiology procedures and regenerative medicine treatments.
Perform minimally invasive procedures including tendon, muscle, joint injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional radiology techniques to alleviate pain and improve function.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as orthopedics, neurology, psychiatry, and physical therapy to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications through health coaching and patient service initiatives.
Maintain detailed medical records adhering to HIPAA standards while ensuring accurate CPT coding for billing purposes.
Stay current with advances in musculoskeletal medicine by engaging in clinical research and continuous professional development.

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
Proven experience in managing musculoskeletal disorders within inpatient or outpatient settings; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is advantageous.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management.
Strong knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT scans and diagnostic radiology relevant to musculoskeletal assessment.
Familiarity with interventional radiography techniques like vascular interventional radiography and catheterization procedures.
Experience with pain management strategies including acute pain management protocols and post-operative care.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and compliance standards such as HIPAA is essential.
Additional skills in regenerative medicine, sports medicine, longevity, functional medicine care are considered a plus but are not mandatory. Join our team to deliver innovative musculoskeletal care that enhances recovery and improves quality of life for our patients!
