Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate x-ray technologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality x-ray examinations to assist in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and x-ray imaging techniques, with emphasis on EGD and musculoskeletal studies. The x-ray technologist will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results while providing a supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations on patients.
Utilize radiologic equipment effectively to capture high-quality x-ray images for interpretation by physicians.
Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures while ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
Communicate clearly with patients regarding the procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records of all examinations performed.
Periodically maintain x-ray equipment and supplies.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in x-ray technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.

Experience

Proven experience in x-ray imaging is preferred, with a strong emphasis on patient care and diagnostic radiology.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for accurate image interpretation.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
