Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Catering to lead our catering department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and event management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest services. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients to create memorable events that exceed expectations.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of the catering department, including planning, execution, and post-event evaluations.
Develop and implement catering strategies that align with the hotel's overall marketing goals.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring personalized service for each event.
Manage banquet operations, including menu selection, staffing, and logistics.
Train and supervise catering staff to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and services for events.
Monitor event budgets and ensure profitability through effective upselling techniques.
Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in event marketing to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a catering or hospitality management role, preferably within a hotel or event venue.
Strong knowledge of banquet operations and event planning processes.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients.
Ability to market catering services effectively to attract new business opportunities.
Proficiency in using catering management software and tools is preferred.
