Office & Accounting Assistant

Location: Fargo, ND
Pay: $23.00 - $31.50 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Join the Tecta America Dakotas Team

Tecta America Dakotas is seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as our Office & Accounting Assistant in our Fargo office.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday. You will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and employees while also providing valuable support to our accounting and service operations teams.

The successful candidate will be professional, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

What You'll Do

Front Office & Administrative Support

Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Greet visitors, customers, vendors, and employees
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate ordering
Schedule conference rooms and assist with meeting preparation
Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other administrative documents
Maintain office records and filing systems
Support various administrative projects across departments

Accounts Payable & Accounting Support

Enter vendor invoices and supporting documentation
Organize, scan, file, and maintain accounting records
Assist with invoice processing and payment preparation
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Collect and organize purchase card receipts and supporting documentation
Support month-end and other accounting projects as assigned
Assist with additional accounting responsibilities based on experience and skill level

Service Department Support

Assist with service ticket administration and documentation
Maintain service-related records and job files
Support communication between customers, field personnel, and office staff
Assist with work order and service documentation organization

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Previous administrative, receptionist, office support, or customer service experience
Accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience
Experience with accounting, ERP, or service management software
Construction, roofing, service, or trades industry experience
Experience with Navision or similar accounting software
