Full Job Description

Cubby’s Canine Castle is looking for an experienced, full-time Daycare Manager to join our management team. As Daycare Manager, you will oversee daily operations ensuring our clients, both canine and human receive a high quality level of care.

The Daycare Manager for Cubby’s will help us impart the values, philosophies, service, and level of commitment our customers have come to know. The Daycare Manager will play a pivotal role in all aspects of the business, including; providing care and service to customers and their pets, staff development and training, talent acquisition, and the fostering of an environment that enables the pursuit of excellence in all that we do.

To succeed in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, and possess the ability to remain calm and organized in a fast paced environment. This is a role for someone with a management background who understands how to lead, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure an excellent environment for the dogs in our care. As a leader, you should also be able to step in and be a hands-on team member in any area when needed to assist the team with the facility’s overall duties.

About Us: Cubby’s Canine Castle opened in 2006 and is an award-winning, full-service doggie daycare offering daycare, boarding, training, and grooming. We average 75 to 80 dogs a day and have multiple large indoor and outdoor play yards. Our facility strives on providing maximum enjoyment for our dogs, as well as ensuring safety and security. Our facility allows for group play in an unleashed setting. Staff enforces proper manners and play in order to provide an enjoyable time for all of our daycare dogs. Primary Responsibilities:

Conducts employment activities, including staffing (hiring/separation responsibilities), scheduling, training, conducting performance reviews with all personnel, recommending salary increases, and issuing employee corrective actions.
Supervise staff to ensure that all services are delivered in a way that meets Cubby’s policies and exceeds customer expectations.
Uphold accountability of team members to policies and procedures.
Regularly offer feedback to assist in team members’ overall growth and identify and implement opportunities for continuing education and skills development for existing staff.

· Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures and ensures that all services are appropriately executed in a clean, safe, and friendly environment, according to Cubby’s high quality standards and company values

Complete routine inspections of the facility to ensure that procedures in place for cleanliness and maintenance are being followed.
Manage client relationships and assist with on-boarding clients in all service areas, including daycare, grooming, and training.
Ensure timely response to all customer inquiries including but not limited to scheduling, billing, or other issues.
Provide updates as necessary to clients on their dog behavior in playgroups and discuss behavior challenges to be addressed.
The Assistant Manager is expected to assist the team when necessary in all areas of service delivery when needed. Including but not limited to checking dogs in/out, assisting administering medication, managing playgroups, and various cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned.

You will thrive in this position if you have:

Proven experience as a leader, with over 5 years in managerial or similar executive role managing teams of 15 or more
Business mind-set with an understanding of operational and performance metrics
Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for use with both staff and clients
Excellent aptitude in technology and proficient in all MS Office products, Word, Outlook, Excel & Google drive
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Excellent time-management skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to anticipate obstacles and proactively address them
Dog daycare or kennel management or relevant experience in the hospitality industry

Salary and Benefits:
