Full Job Description

GH Tool & Mold is not a production shop. We design and build die cast dies for the automotive and aerospace industries and are ISO9001 and AS9100 certified, actively pursuing CMMC.

JOB DUTIES:

Manual machining of tool components according to specifications and within tolerance.
Fitting of tool components into final build up.
Completing and verifying the completion of all documentation to ensure tool correctness before shipment.
Check and ensure that tool will function correctly and produce acceptable parts prior to shipment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an advanced machine tool technology program or equivalent experience.
At least five (5) years experience in mold making trade strongly preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math calculations.
Physical ability to move, lift and/or push up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Physical ability to walk/stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to six (6) hours.
Ability to effectively and safely use a wide variety of hand measuring tools, wrenches, files, and various small tools associated with tool and die machine shops.

The Toolmaker/Toolroom Machinist works in a manufacturing environment. This position involves problem solving and decision making skills. The buildup and repair departments see deadline pressure on a daily basis. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position. The position involves frequent lifting, and standing through most of the shift. Regular attendance is required and considerable overtime is to be expected.

Our current focus is on staffing the off-shifts to allow for 24-7 operations, and to promote a healthy work/life balance for everyone. Opportunities available on your choice of:

NIGHT SHIFT - work Monday through Thursday with 25% shift premium and all your weekends free! Should you choose to work Fridays, you'll receive double time pay for hours worked over 50/week.
WEEKEND SHIFT - work three 12-hour day shifts Friday through Sunday and receive 42 hours pay for 36 hours worked! Should you choose to work during the week, you'll receive double time pay any for hours worked over 44/week.
