Full Job Description

Join Henry Ford Warren Hospital as an Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor, lead daily pharmacy operations while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a trusted health system. GENERAL SUMMARY:

Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm may require extra hours outside of those listed depending on department needs.

Location: Warren

Supervises the daily activities of the pharmacy staff. May perform the duties of a pharmacist.

PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

Schedules and assigns daily work assignments for pharmacy staff.
Trains, coaches, and evaluates associates on performance expectations, and applies progressive discipline when appropriate. Participates in hiring and termination procedures within span of control.
Acts as liaison between department and other hospital departments, physicians and external customers in matters relating to pharmacy operations.
Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure that procedures and policies comply with organizational, federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required.
Pharmacy residency approved by ASHP, a fellowship in pharmacy or have demonstrated a similar level of achievement in the practice of hospital pharmacy preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist practicing in the acute care pharmacy setting or completion of a PGY2 hospital administrative residency required. Leadership experience preferred.
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of system personnel, patients and members of the community and effectively lead work groups, inclusive of strong customer focus.
Analytical skills necessary to support interpretation and administration of budgets, evaluation of methods of delivery of service to patients and assessment if effectiveness of these methods and recommendation of new techniques, procedures, and opportunities.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current Michigan Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist required.
