Job Description

As an Equipment Sales Representative at Turkey Creek Kubota, your primary responsibility is simple: sell equipment and take great care of customers.

You will work with homeowners, property owners, agricultural customers, contractors, landscapers, and local businesses to understand their needs and help them select the right equipment.

We are looking for someone who is teachable, has a can-do attitude, and takes ownership of getting the job done. Sales experience is important, but so is your willingness to learn, follow a proven process, respond positively to coaching, and continually improve.

The right person will be self-motivated, dependable, organized, and willing to jump in and help the team when needed. We want someone who looks for solutions instead of reasons something can't be done and who brings a positive, professional attitude to work every day.

This is not a traditional outside-sales position. Much of your business will be generated through dealership customers, incoming opportunities, referrals, repeat business, and consistent follow-up. At the same time, successful salespeople are expected to actively build relationships and look for new sales opportunities within the local market.

We provide on-site sales training built around specific sales strategies and processes that have proven successful within our dealership group. You don't have to walk in knowing everything about Kubota equipment, but you do need to be willing to learn our products, embrace our sales process, apply what you are taught, and take ownership of your performance.

Sales performance is the primary focus of this position. We also expect everyone on our team to pitch in when needed, support fellow employees, and help create a smooth and professional customer experience throughout the dealership.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sell new and used equipment to residential, agricultural, and commercial customers
Help customers select the right equipment, attachments, and solutions for their needs
Build strong customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business
Develop sales opportunities with local contractors, landscapers, businesses, agricultural customers, and other commercial accounts
Proactively follow up with leads, prospects, previous customers, and open quotes
Prepare and follow up on equipment quotes, financing options, and trade evaluations
Meet or exceed individual sales goals and performance expectations
Maintain accurate customer, lead, quote, and follow-up information
Stay organized and manage multiple customer opportunities at the same time
Learn, follow, and consistently apply established dealership sales processes and proven sales strategies
Work closely with the parts and service departments to provide a seamless customer experience
Assist with equipment walk-arounds, customer deliveries, dealership events, and other customer-facing activities as needed
Maintain a can-do attitude and be willing to jump in and help with day-to-day dealership needs
Participate in ongoing product, manufacturer, and sales training
Represent Turkey Creek Kubota professionally in the dealership and community

Qualifications

Teachable and coachable with a genuine desire to learn and improve
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help the team get the job done
Proven sales experience with a strong track record of performance preferred
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working with both retail customers and business customers
Self-motivated and results-driven
Strong follow-up habits and organizational skills
Professional communication skills
Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to prospect, follow up, and actively generate new sales opportunities
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help throughout the dealership when needed
Willingness to learn and consistently follow a proven sales process
Commitment to honesty, professionalism, dependability, and accountability
Equipment, agricultural, construction, automotive, powersports, or related sales experience preferred
Mechanical or equipment knowledge preferred but not required

Schedule

Full-time position
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM on a rotating schedule
Closed Sundays

Compensation

This is a salary + commission position with uncapped earning potential.

Expected total income opportunity is $75,000–$100,000+, depending on individual sales performance.

Manufacturer sales incentives are included as part of the overall earning opportunity and may vary based on qualifying equipment sales and manufacturer programs.
