Senior Alternatives is one of the Bay Area's most respected Home Care and Care Management agencies, and has been in business since 1995. We provide in-home personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders and incidental transportation for our clients.

We are looking for an amazing full-time Home Care Scheduler/Staffing Manager who is organized, detail-oriented, and communicative, and is capable of matching clients with suitable caregivers, managing complex schedules, and adapting to changes while using technology effectively.

Key characteristics also include flexibility, problem-solving skills, empathy, and the ability to maintain a high standard of precision in matching, coordinating, and documenting care.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of home care services and provides customer service to all home care only clients and their families/responsible parties.

Summary of essential job functions:

Staff/schedule 100+ client shifts based on need
Orient caregivers to client care plans
Provide direction and supervision of caregivers
Communicate changes in shifts to the client, caregiver and care manager
Assist with the answering of incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and respond quickly to their needs.
Discuss ongoing recruiting and hiring needs with Director
Serve as point of contact for home care only clients and their responsible parties

Minimum requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a scheduler in a health care field (REQUIRED)
Experience with home care agency (PRIORITIZED)
Ability to work well in high pressure, fast paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Highly professional, extremely organized with strong multi-tasking abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Customer service experience with a focus on total quality management
Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office products
