Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Set Up and Program Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure high-quality output while maintaining efficiency and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

· Set up, troubleshoot and operate CNC lathe equipment independently with minimal supervision
· Able to program with G and M codes
· Set up tooling installation, offsets, coolant lines
· Perform program adjustments as needed
· Assist co-workers in the troubleshooting of CNC machining issues
· Machining of aircraft parts holding tolerances as tight as .0005”
· Perform critical measurements using supplied gauging
· Maintain proper paperwork associated with the planned job

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience
· Proficient with Mastercam version 25
· Mechanical aptitude a plus
Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T
High School Diploma or equivalent
Blueprint reading skills
Shop math skills
Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required
Exposure to Haas or Okuma lathes a plus

Can you independently perform a complete setup from blueprint to first article approval?
Are you familiar with AS9100 or other aerospace quality standards?
