Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor with at least 2 years of mortgage industry experience. In this role, you will assist loan officers and processing staff by ensuring loan files are complete, accurate, and moving efficiently through the pipeline. You will work closely with borrowers, vendors, and internal team members to help deliver a smooth mortgage process from application through closing.

Key Responsibilities

Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Gather and verify borrower documentation
Order and monitor third-party services such as appraisals, title reports, and verifications of employment
Maintain accurate records within the Loan Origination System (LOS) and internal databases
Collaborate with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and closing teams
Communicate with borrowers and vendors to obtain missing information and resolve outstanding conditions
Prepare loan files for underwriting review
Assist with closing documentation and administrative support as needed

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage processing or a related mortgage industry role
Understanding of mortgage loan documentation, guidelines, and compliance requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with mortgage software systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
