Full Job Description

Tulkoff Foods is a dynamic and rapidly growing private equity-backed portfolio company within the food industry. We specialize in the manufacture and distribution of specialty sauces across North America, with a commitment to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions to our customers.

As we navigate a period of expansion and strategic initiatives, we are seeking a Production Manager to join our team and contribute to the company's success.

Summary- The Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and food safety objectives. This position provides leadership to supervisors and production teams, manages workforce planning, ensures compliance with GMP and HACCP requirements, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong operational, problem-solving, and team development skills who can effectively balance productivity, quality, and employee engagement.

Hours- 1st Shift Start time 6am

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Oversee daily production operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, line leaders, and production employees.
Monitor production performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and yield.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety requirements.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor utilization to support operational needs.
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sanitation, and Supply Chain teams to achieve production goals.
Identify training needs and partner with HR and department leaders to support onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing employee development initiatives.
Analyze production metrics and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure accurate completion of production records, documentation, and inventory transactions.
Maintain a safe work environment and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards.
Lead corrective and preventive actions related to production, quality, and safety concerns.
Comply with employment law and human resources policies.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

3-4 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Manager in a food & beverage facility
Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus
Willingness and ability to arrive early or stay late as required to meet deadlines
Organizational and leadership abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced skills in MS Office/Excel preferred
Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
High school diploma; degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field a plus
