Job Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Rebar Worker and become a vital part of building strong, durable structures! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing reinforcing steel (rebar) in concrete forms to ensure the stability and longevity of various construction projects. Your expertise will help transform blueprints and technical drawings into solid, safe foundations for commercial, residential, or infrastructure developments. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in construction practices and safety protocols.

Duties

Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately place rebar according to specifications.
Cut, bend, and shape rebar using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fit designated forms.
Install rebar within concrete forms, ensuring proper placement and secure fastening for structural integrity.
Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate tasks on-site and ensure seamless workflow.
Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe construction environment during rebar installation, concrete pouring, and finishing.
Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and cutting tasks as needed to support project timelines.
Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps to facilitate efficient project completion.

Requirements

Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on rebar installation or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
Strong mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately.
Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with concrete forming, cutting, finishing, and pouring techniques.
Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and the importance of adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving on-site.
