Full Job Description

Certified Transmission is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead our inventory operations and Parts Department at our Omaha manufacturing facility.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee inventory accuracy, ensure parts and raw materials are available to support production, lead a high-performing team, and drive continuous process improvements. You'll partner closely with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to optimize inventory, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's manufacturing goals.

Main Responsibilities

Lead all inventory control operations to ensure parts and raw materials are available to support production schedules.
Supervise, coach, train, and develop the Parts Department team.
Optimize inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolete stock.
Analyze inventory trends and implement strategies that improve inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and operational efficiency.
Partner with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to align inventory with manufacturing demands.
Monitor and improve inventory control systems, procedures, and best practices.
Develop departmental budgets and forecast inventory and staffing needs.
Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Monitor key inventory performance metrics and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Evaluate departmental processes and implement improvements that increase productivity, accuracy, and workflow.
Promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of inventory management, materials management, or supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, inventory planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
Experience using ERP or inventory management software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
