Full Job Description

RK Electric is a Design Build Electrical Contractor

RK Electric is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a concentration in power to join our team. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in electrical infrastructure design for industrial and commercial facilities. Examples include data centers, clean rooms, pharmaceutical facilities, schools, health care facilities and commercial office spaces. The ideal candidate will be a registered professional engineer in the State of CA or interested in becoming one. This position will be based out of our Fremont, CA office.

Responsibilities

Work will include creating drawings and performing required calculations for obtaining permits and construction. This includes, but not limited to:

· Lighting design and circuiting

· Lighting controls

· Power and circuiting for equipment

· Single Line Diagrams

· Panels schedules and load calculations

· Electrical infrastructure Design

· Emergency generator systems

· Uninterruptible power systems (UPS)

· Circuit breaker and protective relay coordination’s

· Short circuit and arc flash studies

· Photometric analysis

· Power metering & analysis and

· CA energy code compliance documentation

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)

· If no degree, 5 years of equivalent experience in the field of Electrical Engineering/Power Systems Design required

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision

· Able to work well in a team environment

· Experience using: AutoCAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools, AGI32 photometric software and EnergyPro compliance software.
