Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

Reside and work in Tennessee.
Hold an active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license.
Maintain an active, unrestricted DEA registration.
Possess a valid Tennessee driver's license.
Have a minimum of three years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Experience in Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), or a 30-day residential rehabilitation setting

About the Role

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering medication-assisted treatment and recovery support to individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Working closely with Care Advocates, Addiction Counselors, and other members of the clinical team, you will help patients achieve and maintain their recovery goals through compassionate, evidence-based care.

This highly impactful, patient-centered position involves providing care through telehealth platforms, including phone, video, and secure messaging. Supported by advanced clinical decision-support tools, you will engage patients throughout their recovery journey while helping improve access to quality addiction treatment.

Because our care model is telemedicine-based, this role offers exceptional flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to work remotely from home while maintaining a balanced schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, treat, and provide ongoing management for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
Build strong therapeutic relationships that support each patient’s recovery goals.
Educate patients on addiction, recovery strategies, treatment options, and harm-reduction practices when appropriate.
Collaborate with Medical Directors and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
Utilize telehealth technologies and electronic health systems to deliver high-quality patient care.
Review and discuss laboratory results with patients in a supportive, nonjudgmental manner.
Coordinate referrals and connect patients with additional medical, behavioral health, and community-based resources.
Partner with Counselors and Care Advocates to help patients navigate the healthcare system and address social determinants of health.

Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee.
Active, unrestricted DEA registration.
Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and nursing school.
Experience treating substance use disorders through medication-assisted treatment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms.
Ability to obtain credentialing and contracting approval with multiple insurance providers and state licensing boards.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new healthcare technologies.

Pay: $95.00 - $125.00 per hour
