Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our busy boutique law firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department with daily operations. This role requires strong attention to details and multitasking skills. It offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can develop your skills in corporate accounting and financial analysis.

Duties

Assist in Of Counsel billable hour timesheet recording
Conduct client account analysis to provide to clients and vendors.
Support payroll processing and ensuring timely submissions
Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for the firm.
Collaborate with the accounting manager to assist in month-end closing activities.
Monitor and ensure compliance with billing guidelines and deadlines
Provide support for various accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable.
Perform general administrative tasks to support the accounting operations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. An associate degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 1 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
