Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining compliance, and supporting overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during financial reviews or audits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Monitor cash flow and help manage budgets and forecasts.
Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documentation.
Suggest improvements to financial systems or procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in e-commerce environment.
Knowledge of inventory accounting and multi-entity accounting.
Familiarity with payroll systems and sales tax filings.
