About the Opportunity

IT Vortex is a leading cloud services provider and VMware Cloud Partner specializing in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), Unified Communications (UCaaS), Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS), and managed cloud solutions. We help organizations modernize their IT environments while reducing costs, improving security, and ensuring business continuity.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business growth, expand strategic partnerships, and build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. This is a highly visible role that works closely with executive leadership to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies while helping position IT Vortex as a trusted technology partner.

The ideal candidate is a motivated hunter with a proven track record in B2B technology sales, strong relationship-building skills, and experience selling cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed services, or related technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referral networks, social selling, events, and strategic partnerships.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, business owners, and technology decision-makers.
Develop and execute territory sales plans and account-based growth strategies.
Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, revenue goals, and KPI targets.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast within HubSpot CRM.

Marketing & Lead Generation

Partner with marketing resources to develop outbound campaigns utilizing email marketing, LinkedIn, social media, digital advertising, and other lead-generation initiatives.
Identify and implement automation tools and processes to improve prospecting and qualification efforts.
Collaborate with leadership to develop campaigns that accelerate customer acquisition and shorten sales cycles.

Strategic Partnerships & Industry Engagement

Work closely with key technology partners such as VMware, Microsoft, Fortinet, Veeam, and distribution partners to leverage co-marketing opportunities, MDF programs, and lead generation activities.
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, networking events, and customer-facing engagements.
Promote brand awareness and strengthen market presence through professional networking and relationship building.

Leadership & Operations

Support executive leadership in developing high-performing sales and business growth initiatives.
Help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, sales productivity, and market penetration.
Mentor Business Development Representatives (BDRs), interns, or future sales team members as the organization grows.
Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and recommendations for business expansion.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of successful quota-carrying B2B technology sales experience.
Experience selling cloud services, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, telecommunications, or SaaS solutions.
Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and closing complex technology sales opportunities.
Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship-building capabilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Experience using CRM platforms, preferably HubSpot.

Preferred

Existing network or book of business within the technology sector.
Knowledge of cloud platforms including VMware, Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, and related technologies.
Experience with marketing-driven lead generation and social selling strategies.
Experience working with technology partner ecosystems and channel programs.
