Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain annual Salary Administration Guidelines.
Assists in the design and administration of variable pay programs, including management incentives.
Serves as a consultant to managers and HR team members on compensation and benefit related topics.
Presents training for compensation and benefit related topics and tools.
Researches best compensation and benefit practices, regulations and compliances; provides analysis and recommendations.
Participates in professional, external compensation and benefit surveys.
Responds to escalated compensation and benefit inquiries from employees and leaders.
Collaborates with leadership and vendors to coordinate, develop, and maintain compensation and benefit programs.
Administers the annual open enrollment process.
Collaborates with leadership on the development and distribution of effective communication and training materials to ensure awareness of benefit program updates and opportunities.
Maintains benefit processes and employee records in HRIS.
Verifies accuracy of payroll deductions and benefits-related data.
Produces and analyzes metrics and reports to provide information on benefit utilization and cost.
Evaluates the cost impact of changes to base pay rates, incentive programs, or benefits packages.
Acts as a lead and provides coaching and or mentoring to entry level team members.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five years’ experience in corporate compensation and benefits.
Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work through complex issues.
Strong presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to benefits and retirement programs.

Desirable KSAs:

HRIS experience
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Certification

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and occasional use of other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
