Internet Sales Professional — Scherer Mazda

You already know how to sell cars. The question is: Are you ready to sell them differently?

This is not an entry-level sales position. We aren't looking for someone who wants to try automotive sales. We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated that they can perform, follow up, build relationships, and close deals.

But we're also looking for something more. We want someone who believes the automotive industry is changing and wants to be at the front of that change.

Let's start with what makes this opportunity different. We're hiring ONE Internet Sales Professional. As it stands today, that person will be responsible for all inbound internet sales opportunities at Scherer Mazda. Not just setting the appointment. Not handing the customer off once they arrive. You own the opportunity from the first click to the handshake at delivery. This is a true cradle-to-grave sales position. You'll engage the customer, build the relationship, work the deal, sell the vehicle, and deliver it.

If you're a proven salesperson, you probably understand how unusual that opportunity is. At many dealerships, internet leads are divided between a BDC, multiple salespeople, managers, round-robin systems, and appointment setters. By the time the customer arrives, three different people may have touched the opportunity. That's not what we're building.

We want one highly capable person who takes ownership of our digital opportunities and treats that pipeline like their own business.

And We're Going to Give You Better Tools to Do It

You'll work our internet leads, digital opportunities, inbound inquiries, unsold prospects, and other sales opportunities while using modern technology to communicate faster, follow up smarter, stay organized, and create a better buying experience.

We want someone who is ready to embrace, implement, and utilize AI and emerging technology as part of how they sell every day — using these tools to work smarter, manage more opportunities, improve customer engagement, and ultimately produce better results. This role isn't about watching where the industry is going; it's about adopting the tools that are taking it there and putting them to work.

Who We're Looking For

AUTOMOTIVE SALES EXPERIENCE IS AN ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT.

Beyond that, we're looking for someone who:

Has a proven history of producing results in automotive sales
Is competitive and motivated by performance
Understands that every lead represents a real opportunity
Is relentless about follow-up without becoming annoying
Is comfortable communicating by phone, text, email, video, and whatever comes next
Embraces CRM technology instead of fighting it
Is genuinely interested in AI and emerging technology
Can manage a large pipeline without allowing opportunities to disappear
Knows how to create urgency without creating pressure
Understands that speed matters
Takes ownership of their results
Wants to learn, experiment, improve, and win

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who doesn't need to be constantly reminded to follow up.
