Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High school graduation or equivalency.

Experience:

No prior experience is required for this position.

Physical Demands:

A main requirement of the job is physical labor.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker and HazMat endorsements within 6 months of hire.
Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Wastewater Collection within one year of hire.

The Wastewater Collection Division is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Wastewater Collection Operator I who is committed to providing exceptional public service and protecting our community's critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with team members, and demonstrates a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. We are looking for someone who is eager to advance their career through ongoing training and professional development while contributing to a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

This position offers the opportunity to play an active role in implementing new technologies, participating in system improvement projects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the reliability and efficiency of our wastewater collection system. Work may require participation in a rotating schedule that includes shift work, weekends, holidays, on-call duty, and emergency response.
