Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Surveyors at all experience levels to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on land and construction projects, utilizing cutting-edge surveying technology and techniques. As a Surveyor, you will play a vital role in collecting precise data, creating detailed maps, and supporting civil engineering and construction initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure project accuracy, safety, and efficiency from initial site assessment through completion. Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, this position promises growth, challenge, and the chance to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS systems, 3D scanners, and total stations to gather accurate spatial data.
Prepare detailed schematics, drawings, and plans using CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Carlson.
Perform topographic surveys, ALTA surveys (American Land Title Association), and construction staking to support project planning and execution.
Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools like ArcGIS to analyze spatial data for mapping and land management purposes.
Operate modern surveying instruments such as Trimble units and laser scanners for precise data collection across diverse terrains.
Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to interpret survey data, ensuring designs align with real-world conditions.
Maintain meticulous records of survey data, field notes, sketches, and reports for project documentation and future reference.
Support construction teams by providing accurate site measurements, layout plans, and schematics throughout project phases.
Apply mathematical principles including algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and math fundamentals to solve complex surveying problems efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all field activities while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

Proven experience in land surveying or construction surveying; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply with relevant education or internships.
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation or Carlson is highly desirable.
Familiarity with GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis is a plus.
Knowledge of modern surveying tools including GPS systems (e.g., Trimble), 3D scanners, total stations, and laser measurement devices.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to land development and construction processes.
Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and land descriptions accurately.
Excellent math skills encompassing algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and general math fundamentals necessary for precise calculations.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting survey findings clearly.
