Full Job Description

Southwest Industrial Rigging is seeking a dynamic Parts Manager to spearhead our parts department. In this vital leadership role, you will guide our parts staff, maintain strict inventory control and partner closely with our Service Manager to optimize daily workflow. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of our rental fleet and service department by ensuring the accurate sourcing, tracking and timely availability of crucial equipment parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management: Manage, mentor and assign daily tasks to parts staff. Conduct regular meetings to ensure effective communication and prevent repair delays. Enforce safety protocols within the shop and yard environments.
Inventory Control: Implement inventory count schedules and lead cycle counts. Audit stock regularly to remove dead stock and maintain a lean, organized parts room.
Systems & Documentation: Utilize inventory software to track, document and maintain accurate parts records, receipts and purchase orders.
Sourcing & Procurement: Expertly research and identify correct parts for internal rental equipment (aerial lifts, earthmoving, small tools) and customer orders.
Vendor & Financial Management: Collaborate with vendors for competitive pricing. Process parts returns, warranty claims and core credits efficiently.
Operations Support: Work closely with mechanics, shop personnel and customers to minimize service department downtime and ensure timely equipment repairs.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience in a parts department role, specifically supporting rental fleets or service departments.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing or supervising parts staff.
Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to research, source and identify mechanical equipment parts.
Software Proficiency: Proficient with inventory management software and administrative reporting.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration and customer service.
Organization: Strong analytical skills for auditing inventory and tracking financial documentation (POs, credits, warranties).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
