Full Job Description

Summary of Position

Working as part of the Pittsburgh Print Facility team, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports the processing of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery to clients. This role is responsible for preparing shipments, verifying documentation, maintaining shipping records, and assisting with domestic and international shipping requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple shipment requests.

Roles & Responsibilities

Review shipment details and follow established procedures to fulfill client orders accurately.
Process outgoing shipments and receive incoming deliveries.
Communicate with internal departments, print staff, suppliers, and transportation companies regarding shipment status and requirements.
Prepare and process domestic and international shipping labels.
Validate shipping addresses and maintain distribution spreadsheets.
Ensure shipping labels match packing slips and distribution documentation.
Prepare required customs documentation for international shipments.
Verify shipments and paperwork comply with company policies and carrier regulations (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.).
Track shipments and report delivery status; assist in resolving delays when necessary.
Enter shipment information and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and internal systems.
Assist with freight quotes and documentation for billing purposes.
Support returns processing and inspects returned shipments for accuracy.
Assist the Fulfillment team with matching collateral and materials to shipping labels.
Participate in team meetings regarding process updates and improvements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics support preferred
Experience handling domestic and international shipments preferred
Familiarity with customs documentation and international shipping procedures
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
Effective communication skills
Ability to manage multiple shipment requests simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic problem-solving and documentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems
Experience with NAV or other shipping platforms
Positive and professional attitude
Ability to handle tasks with professionalism and accuracy

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
