Shults Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Counter Associate to join our growing Parts Department. We are looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused professional with dealership parts experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

As an Experienced Parts Counter Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting both our retail and wholesale customers as well as our service department.

Responsibilities include:

Assist retail, wholesale, and internal service customers with automotive parts sales.
Identify and source the correct OEM and aftermarket parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership software.
Process customer orders accurately while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Provide prompt support to service technicians by pulling and delivering parts for repair orders.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to parts inquiries professionally and efficiently.
Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, receiving, stocking, and bin organization.
Assist with warranty parts retention and core returns.
Monitor backorders and communicate expected arrival dates with customers and advisors.
Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts Management to maximize shop productivity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
Follow all dealership safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

Required:

Previous automotive dealership Parts Counter experience.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and repair terminology.
Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, PBS, or similar).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred:

Ford dealership parts experience.
Experience with wholesale parts sales.
Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and stock management.
Familiarity with Motorcraft and Ford OEM parts catalogs.
