Full Job Description

LumaGlow Lighting is expanding rapidly across the region. We are seeking self-motivated, professional Outside Sales Representatives to present and sell our premium, customizable architectural, landscape, and permanent holiday lighting systems to residential and commercial clients.

No prior lighting experience is required. Because we are expanding rapidly, we are looking to invest in the right individuals. We provide a comprehensive training program that covers product knowledge, design software, and proven prospecting strategies, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with the right drive to transition into a high-earning sales career. Driven by a competitive commission structure, realistic first-year earnings range from $70,000 to $160,000+.

Comprehensive Training: In-depth training on our product line, sales methodology, and local prospecting techniques to ensure your success from day one.
Weekly Gas Incentive: Receive a $150 gas spiff every week you achieve a baseline of just 2 closed sales to help offset your local travel costs.
Elevated Self-Generation Payouts: While we provide warm marketing leads, you have the opportunity to significantly increase your income by generating your own leads through local prospecting. Self-generated accounts command our maximum commission percentages.
High Referral Business Potential: Permanent LED lighting is a highly visible, premium product. When you transform a home, the entire neighborhood notices. This creates a natural, compounding referral network, allowing you to easily generate spin-off sales and repeat business from a single installation.
Uncapped Compensation & Monthly Bonuses: Your earning potential is directly tied to your performance, with additional monthly financial incentives for exceeding goals.
Professional Marketing Materials: Premium brochures, digital design tools, and nighttime demonstration strategies to effectively showcase the product.

Core Responsibilities

Territory & Lead Coverage: Responsibly manage and promptly follow up on company-provided leads, with a willingness to travel within a 75-mile radius to conduct scheduled on-site consultations.
Proactive Prospecting & Self-Generation: Introduce LumaGlow to homeowners and business owners through strategic neighborhood outreach, direct introductions, and local networking to build your own high-revenue pipeline.
Cultivate Referral Networks: Deliver an exceptional customer experience to actively leverage completed installations into local word-of-mouth referrals and neighborhood group sales.
Conduct Consultations: Meet with clients on-site to evaluate property layouts, understand their specific lighting or security goals, and design custom solutions.
Present and Finalize: Deliver clear product presentations, address client inquiries, and finalize service agreements on-site.
Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM tracking tools to organize your leads, schedule follow-ups, and manage client accounts professionally from introduction to installation.

Position Requirements

Prospecting Mindset: A proactive, self-starting approach to generating new business and a comfortable confidence with face-to-face neighborhood outreach.
Work Ethic & Coachability: A strong desire to learn, adapt, and consistently apply our proven sales and prospecting training.
Professional Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a resilient, solution-oriented mindset.
Experience: While 1–2 years of sales, customer service, or home improvement experience is a plus, it is not required. We are fully prepared to train the right candidate who possesses a strong work ethic.
Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required for daily travel within your assigned 75-mile local territory radius.

Schedule and Compensation

Job Type: Full-time / Independent Representative
Compensation: Commission-based + Weekly Gas Spiff + Monthly Bonuses ($70,000 - $160,000 realistic first-year target)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend availability to accommodate client consultation windows (dusk is a key time for lighting demonstrations).
