Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess and become the welcoming face of our vibrant dining environment! In this lively role, you will create a positive first impression for guests, manage reservations seamlessly, and ensure every visitor feels valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services.
Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlist management to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and relay messages accurately.
Maintain organized guest flow by monitoring wait times and communicating effectively with guests about their seating status.
Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness in the host area and adhering to health guidelines.
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest relations and timely service delivery.

Requirements

Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and guest billing support if needed.
Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest relations, and phone etiquette to provide outstanding customer service.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the restaurant environment, and handle fast-paced situations confidently.
