Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, empathetic, and proactive Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will manage personal injury cases from initial client intake through the pre-litigation phase, with opportunities to support active litigation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters, ensuring cases move forward efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury cases, including case intake, investigation, and settlement negotiations
Case Management: Handle a robust caseload from initial intake through settlement or trial preparation.
Client Communication: Maintain regular, compassionate contact with clients to provide case updates and gather information.
Medical Records: Request, track, organize, and summarize medical records and billing statements.
Document Drafting: Prepare letters representation, open insurance claims, and draft settlement demand packages.
Liaison: Coordinate daily with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and medical providers regarding liens and bills.
Calendar Management: Track critical deadlines, including the statute of limitations, court appearances, and depositions.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal (plaintiff side preferred).
Education: Paralegal certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies is highly preferred.
Medical Literacy: Strong understanding of medical terminology, treatment plans, and health insurance subrogation.
Software Skills: Proficiency with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Clio, Mycase) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills, strong written communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish is a major plus but not required.
