About Us

The Flore Store is a cannabis dispensary located in San Francisco’s Castro/Duboce Triangle neighborhood. We are a customer-focused, professional, and community-oriented business rooted in the history, compassion, and legacy of cannabis access in San Francisco.

We are committed to providing a welcoming, knowledgeable, and compliant retail experience where customers feel informed, respected, and supported.

Position Overview

The Flore Store is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cannabis Consultant – Reception & Sales Support to join our team.

This role combines front desk/host responsibilities, cannabis sales, customer education, and inventory support. Team members will assist with customer check-in, ID verification, phone support, customer flow, online menu support, and general store operations as needed.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated retail environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming store experience.
Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budget, and experience level.
Educate customers on cannabis product types, strains, effects, dosage, methods of consumption, and safe use.
Process customer transactions accurately using the dispensary’s Point of Sale system.
Verify customer identification and assist with adult-use and medical customer check-in.
Maintain accurate customer information while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
Answer incoming phone calls professionally and relay messages as needed.
Support customer flow, lobby organization, and front-of-house awareness during busy periods.
Assist with inventory, restocking, product organization, and sales floor presentation.
Help maintain online menu accuracy and product knowledge when assigned.
Monitor for customer service, safety, or compliance concerns and escalate issues to management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment.
Follow all company policies, SOPs, and California cannabis regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required.
Cannabis retail experience preferred.
Previous budtender, retail, hospitality, front desk, host, or receptionist experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Comfortable verifying IDs and following compliance procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and respectful when handling customer concerns.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Ability to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who can balance hospitality, sales, and compliance. They should be comfortable helping customers on the sales floor, supporting check-in at the front desk, answering basic store inquiries, and assisting with daily retail operations.
