Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing activities, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This position requires strong sales skills, administrative capabilities, and a solid understanding of property management practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
Assist applicants in completing leasing applications and ensure all documentation is accurately processed.
Maintain knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and assist tenants with the application process when applicable.
Manage tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the leasing process.
Collaborate with facilities management to address maintenance requests and ensure properties are well-maintained.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with current tenants to foster community engagement.
Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and updating customer relationship management systems.
Help cover sites in the San Leandro, Hayward and San Jose regions as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales or property leasing is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 programs is advantageous.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficient in using property management software systems.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Must be Billingual and Fluent in both Spanish and English.
