Full Time

Position Summary

The General Manager is a steward of the Owners' business and a sound, proactive operating partner. The primary role of the General Manager is to execute Ownership's vision and strategy toward goals across all business verticals, within the framework they've built.The GM oversees all aspects of studio operations, leading a team of specialists, each owning a defined Area of Responsibility, and ensuring every AOR is owned, executed, and accountable to the business. This is a leadership role, not an execution role. Success is measured by how well the team performs.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop all direct reports: Studio Manager, OPS Manager, Marketing Specialist, and Lead RN.
Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Conduct regular 1:1s and provide ongoing, honest, specific coaching and feedback.
Develop the Studio Manager into increasing levels of independence.

Operational Management

Oversee daily studio operations across all domains — no gaps, no excuses.
Implement and uphold all studio policies, procedures, SOPs, and standards.
Ensure the framework (Asana, KPI process, Handbook) is fully adopted and maintained.
Manage scheduling, inventory, and procurement with the OPS Manager.
Escalate only what genuinely requires owner-level decisions.

Financial Performance

Own KPI tracking across all revenue drivers: memberships, medical, packages, new guests, and conversion.
Read, interpret, and act on weekly financial reporting and P&L.
Manage to revenue goals and target ratios

Client Relations & Guest Experience

Set and hold the standard for elevated hospitality across every guest touchpoint.
Serve as the escalation point for guest concerns; resolve professionally and promptly.
Coach the team on consultative selling, conversion, and the Pause guest standard.

Marketing & Business Development

Oversee Marketing Specialist execution: Campaigns, content, digital, and brand.
Support business development activities: partner visit coordination and hosting.
Ensure BizDev initiatives are accommodated operationally without compromising the studio floor.

This overview is not exhaustive or fixed; additional responsibilities and assignments will be added as business needs demand.

Qualifications & Requirements

Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools and CRM systems for client tracking and communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Wellness, or a related field.
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the wellness or hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of studio operations, including therapeutic modalities, client management, and financial oversight.
Ability to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
Demonstrated leadership of a team across more than one operational domain.
Financial literacy: Able to read, interpret, and act on P&L and KPI reporting.
Experience in sales, client retention, and conversion coaching.
Strong communicator: Direct, composed, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
Passion for wellness and genuine alignment with the Pause mission and culture.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $70,000–$80,000, based on experience and proven readiness
Uncapped bonus and commission tied to studio performance — membership growth, retention, first-time-guest conversion, IV/medical volume, and package sales — so a strong GM earns well above base

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel locally throughout the Fort Lauderdale area daily
Capability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and presentations
Ability to lift and transport marketing materials and promotional items (up to 50 lbs)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Studio Hours: Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm, Sunday 8am-6pm Position Type: Full-Time Travel: Local travel required within the Fort Lauderdale market
