Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Line Cook to join our culinary team for a temporary 4-week position with a guaranteed 35–40 hours per week.

This role is ideal for an experienced cook who is confident working grill and sauté stations and is ready to step into a fast-paced kitchen and contribute immediately. We are looking for someone who requires minimal training, works well under pressure, and can consistently execute high-quality dishes during busy service.

Responsibilities

Take immediate responsibility for grill and/or sauté stations, executing menu items accurately and efficiently during service
Prepare and cook menu items with precision while following established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
Manage station setup, preparation, service, and breakdown with minimal supervision
Execute high-volume food production while maintaining quality, consistency, and proper ticket times
Operate grills, ovens, sauté equipment, braising equipment, and other commercial kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout each shift
Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Assist with ingredient preparation and other kitchen responsibilities as needed
Accommodate dietary restrictions and specialized meal requirements when necessary

Experience & Qualifications

Strong professional line cook experience is required
Must be highly proficient on grill and/or sauté stations
Ability to step into an established kitchen and perform effectively with minimal training
Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens; fine dining experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of grilling, sautéing, braising, roasting, poaching, and other professional cooking techniques
Excellent knife skills and food preparation abilities
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to follow recipes and execute menu items consistently
Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining organization and attention to detail
Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work collaboratively with the kitchen team

Position Details

Temporary contract position: 4 weeks
Guaranteed 35–40 hours per week
Immediate need for an experienced grill/sauté line cook
Consistent schedule throughout the contract period
Excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional seeking a short-term position with guaranteed hours

Pay: $30.00 per hour
