Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques, with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role requires leadership skills to oversee kitchen staff, ensure food safety standards, and maintain exceptional service quality. A passion for fine dining and menu execution is essential to elevate our restaurant’s dining experience.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during service hours
Lead and mentor line cooks and kitchen staff to maintain high performance and teamwork
Ensure all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures are strictly followed
Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
Monitor food quality and consistency across all dishes served
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and comply with health regulations
Support catering events and special functions as needed
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and company policies

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Experience in fine dining environments or upscale restaurant settings
Knowledge of menu planning, food industry trends, and catering operations
Excellent food handling skills with attention to hygiene and sanitation practices
Leadership abilities to supervise kitchen staff effectively and foster teamwork
Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and front-of-house staff
Experience in various forms of cookery (sauté, grill, fry, garde manger) is required
