Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety. This position offers an energetic environment where teamwork, culinary skill, and attention to detail come together to create memorable dining experiences. Whether you’re sharpening your knife skills or mastering food safety protocols, your contribution will be essential to our success.

Duties

Prepare ingredients through precise slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife techniques and slicing methods.
Follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality across all menu items.
Cook a variety of dishes according to established standards while maintaining efficiency during busy service times.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations by adhering to strict cleaning schedules and safety standards in food handling.
Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming meals or catering events.
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth service flow.

Experience

Previous experience working in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production is essential.
Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment are required.
Experience with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in slicing techniques are important for efficient prep work.
Knowledge of food industry best practices including recipe adherence, meal preparation, and serving procedures will help you excel.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and ensure quality service delivery.
