Household Operations Manager & Executive Personal Assistant

Full-time | Cape Coral, Florida | Approximately $50,000 annually

I am a busy CEO seeking a highly capable, practical and proactive person to take ownership of my household operations and personal logistics. The purpose of this position is simple: keep the household and the CEO’s day-to-day life running smoothly so she can remain focused on leading her company.

This is not a childcare, medical-caregiving or traditional housekeeping position. It is a hands-on household management and personal-assistance role for someone who naturally notices what needs attention, anticipates problems and follows matters through to completion.

The right person will not wait each morning for a new task list. They will learn the household, establish reliable systems, maintain a schedule of recurring needs and proactively say, “This needs attention, and here is how I recommend handling it.”

Primary Responsibilities

Proactively identify household needs and resolve routine matters without waiting for daily direction
Create and maintain household, vehicle and preventive-maintenance schedules
Monitor the home for developing maintenance or repair needs
Perform reasonable minor household tasks and repairs
Recognize when a licensed or specialized professional is needed
Research, schedule and oversee plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, landscapers, pool professionals and other vendors
Track vehicle maintenance, schedule service and coordinate transportation
Oversee pool, yard, pest-control and other recurring property services
Run errands, manage returns, receive deliveries and keep household supplies stocked
Grocery shop and prepare simple meals, including grilling
Coordinate personal appointments, reservations and calendar needs
Assist with travel preparation and household readiness before and after trips
Maintain organized records for warranties, service providers and recurring expenses
Keep the CEO informed without requiring her to personally manage every detail
Provide occasional administrative, organizational or technology assistance
Take ownership of special projects and ensure they are fully completed

Success in this role is measured by how little household management remains in the CEO’s head.

You should be someone who:

Notices what needs attention before being asked
Thinks preventively instead of waiting for something to break
Presents solutions rather than simply reporting problems
Can prioritize independently and use sound judgment
Follows through and confirms that matters are fully resolved
Is comfortable working both independently and directly with a busy executive
Respects privacy and handles personal information with discretion
Communicates clearly, calmly and concisely
Is willing to roll up your sleeves while also managing outside professionals

Preferred Background

Candidates may come from many different backgrounds. Particularly relevant experience could include:

Military logistics, facilities, supply, maintenance or administration
Property, facilities or estate management
Hospitality or hotel operations
Executive or personal assistance
Vehicle, building or equipment maintenance
Small-business ownership or operations
Vendor and project coordination

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated reliability, initiative and personal accountability
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Practical knowledge of basic home and vehicle maintenance
Comfort using email, calendars, mobile applications and online services
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable transportation
Ability to perform routine hands-on household tasks safely
Ability to pass background, driving-record and reference checks
Professional discretion and respect for confidentiality

Schedule and Compensation

Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
Salary compensation
Non-live-in position based in Cape Coral
Considerable flexibility in organizing the workweek
Certain appointments, deliveries or scheduled needs will require availability at specific times
The successful candidate will largely manage their own schedule based on priorities and household needs

The CEO owns a technology company, so there may be future opportunities to learn new systems and assume additional business responsibilities if the employee has the interest and aptitude. Any material expansion of the position would be discussed separately.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
