CNC / BRIDGE SAW OPERATOR

West Allis, WI | Full-Time | $28–$34/hour DOE

ABOUT US

SUMMIT GRANITE STONE AND CABINET DESIGN is hiring an experienced CNC / Bridge Saw Operator to join our growing fabrication team in West Allis, Wisconsin.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable, safety-focused stone professional who can operate CNC and bridge saw equipment accurately and efficiently while maintaining Summit’s standards for quality, safety, productivity, and craftsmanship.

This position plays a critical role in the fabrication process. The CNC / Bridge Saw Operator is responsible for turning approved measurements, drawings, and digital layouts into accurately fabricated countertop components that are ready for finishing and installation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate CNC and bridge saw equipment used for countertop fabrication
Review digital layouts, shop drawings, cut files, templates, and job specifications before beginning production
Verify slab material, color, thickness, dimensions, and job information before cutting
Inspect slabs for defects, fissures, cracks, color variation, and other conditions that may affect fabrication
Position and secure slabs properly before machining or cutting
Perform accurate cutting, routing, drilling, sink cutouts, faucet holes, edge work, and other machining operations as required
Confirm finished dimensions and fabrication details against approved drawings and job specifications
Identify potential fabrication or layout issues before material is cut
Communicate discrepancies, damaged material, drawing concerns, or production problems immediately to the appropriate team members
Make appropriate machine adjustments to maintain cutting accuracy and finished-product quality
Monitor tooling condition and replace or report worn tools as necessary
Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance of CNC and bridge saw equipment
Assist with other fabrication activities when production needs require

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Candidates must have:

Minimum 3 years of professional CNC operation experience in the stone countertop or stone fabrication industry
Minimum 3 years of professional bridge saw operation experience in the stone countertop or stone fabrication industry
Professional experience fabricating granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, dolomite, and other natural or engineered stone materials
Experience reading countertop drawings, dimensions, digital layouts, and cut files
Experience with sink cutouts, faucet holes, routing, cutting, and other stone-machining operations
Experience safely handling slabs and fabricated stone using appropriate material-handling equipment

Candidates must be able to independently operate both CNC and bridge saw equipment in a professional stone fabrication environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery
Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, layouts, and fabrication instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate workmanship
Ability to use tape measures and other measuring tools accurately
Understanding of stone characteristics and how different materials behave during cutting and machining
Ability to recognize material defects and fabrication risks before cutting
Ability to troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, or cutting issues
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to communicate effectively in English and understand job, equipment, and safety instructions
Authorization to work in the United States

PERFORMANCE, QUALITY & SAFETY

The CNC / Bridge Saw Operator is expected to produce work that meets approved drawings, measurements, and Summit quality standards while maintaining efficient production flow.

Quality and safety are non-negotiable.

Operators are responsible for verifying the job before cutting and should never proceed when information is unclear or when there is a significant risk of material loss, equipment damage, or an incorrect finished product.

PAY, SCHEDULE & BENEFITS

$28–$34/hour, based on verified experience, equipment knowledge, cross-training, and demonstrated skills.

Full-Time | Monday–Friday

40-hour standard workweek
Approved overtime available when production needs require it
