Full Job Description

We are looking for a Front of House Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.

Restaurant manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in the front of house and any experience with the back of the house is a bonus! We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with guests and balance seating capacity. Additionally, you'll be in charge of interviewing/hiring qualified front of house staff members, set work schedules, oversee training and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have pleasant dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations- including staffing, food quality, service, and cleanliness
Set the Mellow vibe with staff and guests, resolving issues as needed.
Help us control the business end of the business- increase profits and minimize losses, assist in managing inventory and labor(including scheduling), and resolve maintenance issues.
Train new team members and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary service with a Mellow vibe
Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to the Mellow Mushroom standards for safety and sanitation
Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed. Things sometimes break, and we need you to help fix them

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Positive attitude
BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
