General Manager

Rise & Shine Hospitality Group | San Diego, CA

Rise & Shine Hospitality Group is looking for an energetic, hands-on General Manager to lead one of our high-volume restaurant concepts in San Diego. This is an opportunity for a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves developing teams, and leads from the floor — not from the office.

Our restaurants are open daily from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, offering a daytime schedule while delivering exceptional food, hospitality, and guest experiences every single day of the year.

We’re searching for leaders who are passionate about people, operational excellence, and building strong restaurant cultures rooted in accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.

What You’ll Do

As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading all day-to-day restaurant operations while creating a positive, high-performing environment for both guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support daily restaurant operations alongside your team
Deliver an exceptional and consistent guest experience
Drive sales growth and operational performance
Build, coach, and develop a strong leadership team
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality
Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and service execution
Analyze operational and financial performance metrics to improve results
Collaborate closely with both Front of House and Back of House teams
Develop internal talent and create long-term bench strength

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is a motivated hospitality professional who leads with integrity, urgency, and positivity.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of General Manager or comparable restaurant leadership experience
Weekend availability and ability to work 45–50 hours per week
Strong experience training and developing FOH teams
Ability to effectively collaborate with BOH leadership and kitchen teams
Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable using Google Workspace tools including Sheets, Docs, and Calendar
Experience managing financials, budgets, labor, and operational metrics
High attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability and urgency
Passion for hospitality, team development, and creating memorable guest experiences

Certifications Required

San Diego Food Handler Card
ServSafe Manager Certification
RBS Certification

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and repetitive motion in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work around hot, cold, and potentially hazardous kitchen equipment.
