Full Job Description

Pelvic Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is hiring a part-time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) to join our interdisciplinary pelvic health team in Manalapan, NJ.

We are looking for an experienced RD/RDN who is experienced, familiar with a clinical setting, practical, compassionate, and detail-oriented. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys outpatient care, patient education, clinical problem-solving, and working as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Our clinic works with women and men dealing with pelvic floor pain and dysfunction, bowel and bladder concerns, pregnancy/postpartum symptoms and concerns, post-surgical recovery, perimenopause/menopause symptoms and concerns, and wellness goals. Nutrition is an important part of care for many of our clients, especially when symptoms involve constipation, diarrhea, bloating, IBS-type symptoms, metabolic health, hormonal changes and general health and weight management.

Position Details

Position: Part-Time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN)
Employment Type: Part-time W-2 employee
Compensation: $45 to $55/hour, based on experience
Hours: 8 to 10 hours per week to start
Location: Hybrid: mostly virtual, with occasional in-person availability in Manalapan, NJ preferred
Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years of clinical nutrition experience, in a related area preferably

Most visits may be completed virtually, depending on patient preference, clinical appropriateness, and scheduling needs. Occasional in-person availability in Manalapan, NJ is preferred for collaboration, complex cases, team meetings, or patients who benefit from in-person care.

This role is designed to be part-time and flexible, with the option for additional hours over time if mutually desired, based on clinic demand.

About Our Clinic

Our care involves collaboration between pelvic floor physical therapists, pelvic health occupational therapists, massage therapists, and a Dietitian when nutrition plays a role in the client’s care.

We are looking for someone who understands that nutrition care should be individualized, evidence-informed, clinically appropriate, clearly documented, and realistic for clients to follow in everyday life.

Responsibilities

Complete nutrition evaluations and follow-up visits for appropriate clients
Provide individualized, evidence-informed nutrition education and care planning
Create clear written recommendations, meal plans, and realistic action steps for clients
Use strong clinical judgment when working with clients who have complex symptoms, medical history, medications, supplements, or changing nutritional needs
Support clients with bowel regularity, digestive symptoms, hydration, meal structure, fiber tolerance, protein intake, weight management concerns, and lifestyle habits
Review relevant nutrition-related labs, medical history, medications, supplements, and clinical information as part of the nutrition assessment process
Identify red flags and communicate when medical follow-up or provider collaboration may be needed
Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff as needed
Document all visits clearly and professionally in our EMR system
Assist with patient education materials, handouts, meal planning resources, or clinical tools as needed
Participate in occasional team communication or case collaboration

Ideal Candidate

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential required
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nutrition experience required
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
Comfortable creating individualized meal plans and written nutrition recommendations
Experience with GI, bowel health, women’s health, pelvic health, postpartum, metabolic health, or outpatient counseling preferred
Comfortable providing virtual care
Strong documentation skills
Comfortable reviewing nutrition-related labs and identifying when medical follow-up or provider communication may be needed
Professional, reliable, warm, and clinically thoughtful
Able to give clients practical guidance without overwhelming them
Comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team
Interested in helping build a high-quality nutrition service within a pelvic health clinic
