Immediate hiring for Civil/Geotechnical Engineer (Onsite)

Location: Redding, CA

Duration: Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Civil / Geotechnical Engineer to lead and support geotechnical engineering and materials testing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soils and geotechnical engineering, with hands-on experience in site investigations, geological mapping, and technical reporting. This role also includes leadership responsibilities, overseeing geotechnical project delivery, supporting field operations, and reviewing engineering reports. The position offers a blend of technical work, project oversight, and leadership within a close-knit engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and oversee geotechnical engineering investigations, including soil analysis and site assessments.
Perform geological mapping, field inspections, and subsurface exploration activities.
Prepare and review detailed geotechnical engineering reports and technical documentation.
Lead and manage geotechnical project activities, ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards.
Support field staff with site inspections and technical guidance.
Review engineering reports prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on civil and geotechnical projects.
Provide technical input on project design, construction methods, and site conditions.
Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Geotechnical Engineer license preferred.
3 5 years of experience in geotechnical or geological engineering projects.
Strong experience in site investigation, soil analysis, and geotechnical reporting.
Familiarity with field inspection procedures and construction site evaluation.
Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
Ability to manage geotechnical engineering activities and support team coordination.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in materials testing or geotechnical laboratory environments.
Exposure to infrastructure, civil construction, or public works projects.
Familiarity with local/state geotechnical engineering codes and standards.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
