Full Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as aPart-Time Office Assistant. This position will provide essential administrative and clerical support with a focus on assisting in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our farm labor workforce.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in office administration or agricultural payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with weekly payroll processing for 100–500+ farm labor employees

Help enter and verify timecard data, piece-rate earnings, and production records

Support the calculation and application of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions in accordance with California labor laws

Help track and process meal and rest period premiums when applicable

Assist with maintaining employee records, new hire paperwork, terminations, and status changes

Provide support with basic data entry, filing, scanning, answering phones, and general office organization

Help reconcile simple payroll reports and resolve discrepancies

Work closely with payroll clerks to verify hours and address timekeeping questions

Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Reliable, organized, and able to meet weekly deadlines

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Bilingual English/Spanish (highly preferred)

Work Schedule

Part-time position

Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak season (hours flexible based on business needs)

Office-based in Reedley, CA

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
