Responsible for routine maintenance, updates, and reconciliation of enrollment databases for assigned markets, and resolution of fundamental enrollment issues.
Analyzes and resolves moderate to complex errors resulting from automated file updates.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains and updates enrollment profiles for assigned markets, often requiring high volume data entry.
Monitors receipt of State enrollment files and communicates issues to management.
Responds to enrollment verification requests and updates applications accordingly.
Researches and resolves eligibility inquiries, verifying basic enrollment/eligibility information and ensuring that the enrollment database reflects correct data.
Researches and resolves membership discrepancies identified through monthly quality reports.
Experience with enrollment/claims platforms (Facets strongly preferred; other payer systems acceptab
le).
Comfort working across multiple portals and tools (HIP, PERLSS, SharePoint, ticketing/workflow tools).
Data quality and reconciliation skills (deduping, match logic, identifier validation, audit trails).
Preferred operational / domain experience
Medicaid managed care enrollment and eligibility experience (TennCare experience strongly preferred).
Understanding of CHOICES/ECF workflows, PAE/LOC concepts, and how enrollment impacts downstream operations (letters, submissions, authorizations).
Familiarity with 834 transaction basics (adds/changes/terms, segments, common error types).
Experience communicating with state agencies/vendors and following strict timeliness requirements.
Soft skills / working style
High attention to detail and strong follow-through (handles time-sensitive work with minimal oversight).
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines (queue aging, TennCare turnaround times, urgent member-impact issues).
Clear written communication for escalations and status updates (concise, professional, action-oriented).
Collaborative approach—able to partner with CCs, clinical teams, providers, and Enrollment leadership.
Root-cause mindset; documents issues and proposes fixes rather than repeated workarounds.
Quality / compliance expectations
Consistent documentation of actions taken, references used, and outcomes (audit-ready).
Familiarity with PHI/PII handling and minimum necessary standards.
Uses checklists/controls to ensure required documents are attached and submissions are complete.
Other requests / nice-to-haves
Ability to work a set “queue coverage” schedule (e.g., daily monitoring windows) and provide PTO/sick coverage for critical submissions.
Experience building dashboards or operational reporting (Power BI/Tableau a plus).
Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement experience (a plus).
Willingness to serve as a point person for escalations and training within Enrollment Ops.
Hybrid expectation: ability to be onsite for one office day per week (or as business needs require).
Requirements:
Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical role; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
AA/AS in Business, Healthcare or related field preferred.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
