Used Car Buyer / Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

Compensation: Commission + Performance Bonuses

About Us

Renee's Automotive is an innovative auto brokerage that is transforming the car buying experience. We work for our clients—not the dealership by securing the best vehicle offers. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Used Car Buyer to help expand our vehicle acquisition department.

Position Overview

The Used Car Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing quality pre-owned vehicles through private parties. This individual should have strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to identify profitable buying opportunities.

Responsibilities

Source and purchase quality used vehicles from multiple channels.
Build relationships with dealerships, wholesalers, auctions, and private sellers.
Evaluate vehicle condition, market values, and pricing trends.
Negotiate purchase prices to maximize profitability and customer value.
Monitor market demand and identify high-turn inventory opportunities.
Coordinate transportation and acquisition logistics.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and vehicle information.
Work closely with management to meet monthly acquisition goals.

Qualifications

Previous experience in automotive purchasing, wholesale, dealership sales, or brokerage preferred.
Strong knowledge of vehicle values, market trends, and appraisal processes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with Manheim, ACV, OVE, or other wholesale platforms is a plus.
Valid California Driver's License required.
