Full Job Description

NWN is seeking a Network Solution Designer to join our Carrier Services team. In this role, you will design connectivity solutions by sourcing and evaluating internet service providers (ISPs) and carrier partners to deliver cost-effective, resilient network solutions for customers.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in telecom, carrier services, circuit provisioning, or connectivity consulting who understands how to compare providers, analyze pricing, and recommend best-fit solutions.

What You’ll Do

Design network connectivity solutions balancing cost, performance, and resiliency
Source and evaluate ISPs, telecom carriers, and transport providers
Compare provider capabilities, SLAs, coverage, and installation timelines
Build customer-facing recommendations with vendor-neutral guidance
Perform cost modeling, TCO, ROI, and bid analysis
Support carrier quoting, circuit sourcing, and provisioning workflows
Design redundant and diverse network paths
Create network diagrams, BOMs, and solution documentation
Partner with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Procurement teams
Support customer discussions and RFP responses

What We’re Looking For

5+ years in telecom, carrier services, network design, or connectivity consulting
Experience sourcing or managing:
Dedicated Internet (DIA)
Broadband
MPLS
Ethernet
SD-WAN
Private networking solutions
Strong knowledge of:
circuit provisioning
carrier quoting
telecom pricing
market analysis
cost analysis
Experience working with multiple carriers/vendors
Strong customer-facing communication and consultative skills

Strongly Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates with experience in roles such as:

Carrier Sales Specialist
Telecom Consultant
Carrier Relationship Manager
Connectivity Solutions Consultant
Telecom Account Executive
Network Procurement Specialist

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with provider lookup / quoting tools
Experience supporting RFPs
Networking certifications such as CCNP or AWS Solutions Architect

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
