We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering teams in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative, scalable systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the technical direction of our organization by fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee complex projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies such as cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and modern web development frameworks. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs while promoting best practices in system design and engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Agile methodologies.
Drive the architecture and design of complex systems, ensuring they are resilient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Oversee the development and deployment of applications utilizing programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript frameworks like React and Express.
Manage integration of RESTful APIs and microservices within cloud environments such as AWS and Azure to optimize system performance.
Establish coding standards, review code quality, and promote best practices in software engineering including version control with GitHub or SVN, CI/CD pipelines, and design patterns.
Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
Ensure security protocols like RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) are implemented effectively across systems.
Monitor system performance metrics; troubleshoot issues; implement improvements for scalability and reliability.
Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation with new technologies like quantum engineering or advanced AI techniques where applicable.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading software development teams in an Agile environment with a strong focus on web development and system design.
Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Linux environments, and network security principles.
Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, C++, VBA, and C; experience with front-end frameworks like React or Express is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of RESTful API development, microservices architecture, scalability strategies, and database management using SQL (MySQL) or similar systems.
Hands-on experience with version control tools such as GitHub or SVN; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Deep understanding of software design patterns, system scalability principles, and application development best practices.
Excellent leadership skills to motivate teams; exceptional communication skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
